Responsibilities As the Executive Director, you will oversee general management of our retirement residence, delivering a superior “More Living” experience to residents. You will lead a high‑performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development. Your expertise in recruiting, training, and mentoring will ensure exceptional service and resident care. As an operations strategist, you will efficiently manage all department operations, ensuring smooth functioning, strict compliance with collective agreements, and optimized fiscal resource allocation. You will implement and maintain policies to uphold industry standards and regulations while achieving financial targets with maximum operational efficiency. As a sales champion, you will create a focus on sales and occupancy, ensuring the team collaborates to meet and exceed occupancy targets. You will actively promote the residence within the local market, ensuring a multi‑pronged approach that showcases the residence as the top choice in retirement living. As a financial performance expert, you will set and monitor targets for employee engagement, resident satisfaction, audits, occupancy rates, and net operating profit. Your strategies will help us surpass targets. As a customer service advocate, you will build strong relationships with employees, residents, and their families, fostering open communication and continuous improvement. Seeking feedback from stakeholders, you will identify areas for enhancement and implement strategies to achieve our goals. Your positive relationships with regional teams, external vendors, and regulatory bodies will reflect our organization’s professionalism and integrity. Experience managing a multidisciplinary team in a unionized environment. Ability to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends as required). Strong understanding of business planning and processes. Proven track record of achieving marketing, sales, and financial goals. Must provide a complete and current Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) within the last six months or be willing to obtain one.
