About the Role MLT Aikins is seeking a corporate securities associate (3–6 years) to join our thriving Vancouver capital markets, public and private M&A and securities team. We would like to speak to candidates who have relevant experience at a large firm or a smaller corporate or securities-focused firm. Working with our securities group provides an exceptional opportunity for associates to develop strong legal and client‑service skills through work on local, national and international corporate finance transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, and other securities law and related matters. Responsibilities Assist clients in a wide variety of capital markets business and M&A transactions as well as generally navigating securities law and stock exchange obligations. Develop strong legal and client‑service skills through work on local, national and international corporate finance transactions, public and private mergers and acquisitions, and other securities law matters. Collaborate with senior partners and other associates on complex transactions to provide the highest level of client service. Qualifications 3–6 years of relevant experience in corporate securities or M&A, ideally at a large firm or a smaller corporate/securities-focused firm. Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective practice‑management skills and a pragmatic approach to serving clients. Strong analytical and written communication skills, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for law and a commitment to excellence in client service.
