Canadian History is a vital component to the History curriculum at MacEwan.The Department of Humanities offers programs in Classics, French, History, Philosophy, and Spanish. Committed to teaching effectiveness and research impact, our faculty support students’ pursuit of a Liberal Arts education and provide mentorship at all levels of undergraduate study. Comfort in a multidisciplinary humanist environment and experience making connections between humanist disciplines are assets.You will play a vital role in enhancing the Department of Humanities’ longstanding focus on Canadian History by developing courses and supervising students in your area of expertise.You must have, or be close to completion of, a terminal degree in Canadian History and will demonstrate a primary commitment to undergraduate teaching and an ongoing research program.You will submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a teaching dossier (including recent teaching evaluations), a statement of research interests, and a sample of scholarly work.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the Department Chair to provide three (3) letters of reference sent directly from referees.Only selected candidates will be required to submit official transcripts sent directly from the institutions where you completed your degrees.Questions about this opportunity may be addressed to Colin Bailey, Interim Department Chair, at baileyc26@macewan.ca.
