Major general contractor seeking experienced Mechanical & Electrical MEP Manager to focus on healthcare construction in Toronto and Vancouver. Salary $150k – $190k. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.As a Mechanical & Electrical MEP Manager you will:Plan the mechanical and electrical components of a construction project and prepare a construction schedule in conjunction with the Project Superintendent and the Project ManagerPrepare regular, timely and accurate billings for the mechanical and electrical components of the job, and assists the Project Manager to ensure timely payment of subcontractor billingsThe Mechanical & Electrical MEP Manager will monitor in conjunction with the Superintendent, a project’s material and labour costs for mechanical and electrical components and assure accurate quality reporting is being conductedAssist the Project Manager by leading project meetings, determining the status of the job in terms of scheduling and costing and solve complex technical issuesReview mechanical and electrical changes received From the architect to ensure they are complete and up to standards and review subcontractor prices on these changesLead an implement M&E quality control program to ensure subcontractor quality plan is being executeCollaborate with the project team on planning and coordination for all on-site mechanical and electrical activities while keeping compliance of specifications, requirements and codes top of mindPut your proactive problem-solving skills to work to coordinate all relevant drawings and information to eliminate interference issuesUtilize your passion for organization through the maintenance of schedule requirements and priorities, mechanical and electrical RFI’s, shop drawings, contracts and project completion documentsShare your mechanical and electrical expertise and be a role model through mentorship opportunities with project team membersBe the go-to person for the organization and facilitation of mechanical and electrical coordination and interference meetingsKeep the lines of communication open regarding project status and updatesTake pride in compiling and completing company-wide project reportsEmbrace the learning experience and be open to internal career opportunitiesCelebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.Requirements of Mechanical & Electrical MEP ManagerYou have a construction related degree/diploma5-7 years of mechanical and electrical construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experienceWorking knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract softwareLeads and delegates to a large team while coordinating construction between multiple trades to achieve building successBenefits:Competitive salary $150k – $190k4 weeks’ vacationGroup insurance (including a health spending account)Group RRSPEmployer paid monthly public transit passFitness Membership or Activity ReimbursementEmployee assistance programExciting training opportunitiesDynamic cultureExciting career opportunitiesSummer hoursIdeal Candidate:Only candidates with authorisation to work in Canada will be considered.Please clearly highlight relevant work experience, project overviews and project scale ($) in your resume. #J-18808-Ljbffr
