Our client is a Design & Build Main Contractor with a strong track record of delivering exceptional projects. We are currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team and play a pivotal role in managing an £18 million project. This position will be based out of their offices in St. Paul's with site visits.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing all commercial aspects of the project, ensuring that it is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cost Management: Manage project costs effectively, including budget preparation, cost forecasting, and monitoring expenditure.

2. Procurement: Lead the procurement process for subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to project specifications.

3. Contract Administration: Administer contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, including the negotiation of terms, variations, and final account settlements.

4. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate commercial risks, implementing strategies to minimize potential cost overruns and delays.

5. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cost-to-complete analyses and cash flow forecasts.

6. Client Liaison: Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders, addressing any commercial issues or concerns promptly and professionally.

7. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to junior members of the quantity surveying team, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance standards.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

2. Chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) preferred.

3. Minimum of 8 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, with a proven track record of managing projects within the construction industry.

4. Extensive experience in both Cut & Carve Refurbishment and New Build projects is essential.

5. Sound knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost control techniques.

6. Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

7. Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as MS Excel, MS Project, and cost management software.

8. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
