Our client is a Fortune 500 company looking for a Medical Representative to provide first aid and analyze safety issues for Hamilton, ON. Location: Hamilton, ON Start Date: ASAP Duration: 1 Month coverage, possibility of extension Schedule: Shift Option 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6 pm - 4:30 am Job Responsibilities Provide triage, referral to outside medical provider, if indicated Maintain all records of treatment given to associates Maintain first-aid kits, inventory supplies, restock and clean equipment used in treatment of associates Provide daily activity logs to the safety team and senior leadership team Provide analysis of onsite incidents monthly, including recommendations to reduce risk and severity of injuries Frequent "floor time" to interact with associates and managers, attend and speak at meetings Initiate and maintain Worker's Compensation cases when applicable Update communication board with medical and safety tips Attend weekly associate safety committee meetings, greet new hires at orientation or one-on-one interaction Participate, as needed, in incident investigations and weekly case management review meetings Qualifications Valid EMT, RPN, LN, or PCP credentials in the province of practice Must have a valid Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider level (Canadian Heart Association) or Professional Rescuer (Canadian Red Cross) Ability to communicate safety needs at all organizational levels Strong analytical skills: analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses Proficiency in Microsoft Office 2+ years of experience as a full time EMT/RPN responding to emergency calls Preferred Skills Certified to teach First-Aid, CPR and AED Bachelor’s Degree Experience leading and managing a team Experience with OSHA regulations Experience with Worker's Compensation Please note that this position requires a Criminal Background check to be completed for potential candidates.
