Marine Detail Designer (Structural or Outfitting) Job Title: Marine Structural or Outfit Detail Designer Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada On-site / Remote / Hybrid: Onsite Job Type: Permanent Responsibilities Deliver design solutions in line with design intent, considering the needs of stakeholders; ensure designs meet regulatory and approval standards Coach and guide early-career designers, ensuring technical development and progress Manage and execute design tasks with a high level of technical responsibility Work closely with the Senior Team Lead and other senior design team members to ensure alignment of design solutions and deliverables Perform self-checks and peer reviews of engineering outputs, including Bill of Materials (BOM), ensuring compliance with the Detail Design Quality Management Process/System Requirements Solid leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to coach and develop early-career designers Ability to work with a high level of technical autonomy and responsibility Strong quality assurance skills, with experience in performing checks and audits of design outputs Experience designing in the structural or outfit domains in Shipbuilding Proficient in Marine 3D CAD modelling and other design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CATIA) Duke Marine Technical Services Canada Inc. is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
