Application Information Employer Name:Government of Saskatchewan The Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement (SBP) provides centralized property management, IT, procurement, project management, transportation, and other services to government ministries & agencies. SBP integrates and prioritizes infrastructure planning and delivery for Saskatchewan, advancing projects through contract oversight, innovative approaches, and alternative financing models. The Major Projects Branch is seeking a Director, Major Projects, to lead two initiatives: Prince Albert Victoria Hospital & Regina Specialized Long-Term Care. This role offers a unique opportunity to join a diverse team and serve as the central liaison between SBP and partner organizations. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will provide strategic leadership, manage personnel, and oversee project delivery, reporting, and coordination with governance committees and external partners. We are looking for a motivated, innovative, and adaptable professional with extensive knowledge and experience in planning, design, project management, procurement, construction, & contract administration. Familiarity with alternative delivery models such as Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, or Construction Manager at Risk is essential. Strong leadership skills, the ability to mentor teams, interpret policies and legislation, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders are critical. Superior organizational skills and experience working with government are highly valued. Qualifications typically include a degree or technical diploma in planning, architecture, design, engineering, construction, or related disciplines, combined with at least five years of professional experience. Membership in good standing with a Sask regulatory body is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
