Role Overview As a Bilingual Manager in Assurance, you will lead client engagements, drive business development, and mentor teams while ensuring high‑quality service and profitability. Your work will span multiple industries and reporting frameworks, challenging you to grow professionally in a fast‑paced environment. Responsibilities Lead and execute client engagements across varying reporting frameworks and industries Contribute to new business development and promote Doane Grant Thornton services Act as a leader within the business unit, service line, and firm, supporting the office business plan Maximize engagement profitability by managing resources effectively Plan and lead teams to exceed client expectations Supervise and mentor accounting and auditing teams, including file review Provide coaching and performance management, conducting timely reviews and training Qualifications CPA designation is an asset Fluent in both English and French Minimum 3 years of experience in public practice, accounting, and working with owner‑managed SMEs Experience with owner‑managed clients under a public practice scope Demonstrated success in business development, advisory, and team management Ability to rally resources and collaborate to exceed client expectations Strong relationship‑building skills, based on rapport, trust, and respect Ability to meet professional and competency expectations of the role Articulate, inspiring, and versatile communicator Proactive in growing the firm by differentiating the Doane Grant Thornton brand and driving client service initiatives What’s in it for you Profit sharing, flex days, RRSP contributions, firm‑wide holiday closure, wellness benefits, concierge‑style perks, and the ability to work from anywhere in Canada during the summer for four weeks.
