You will be responsible for the design and technical delivery of a wide variety of civil infrastructure projects. You will work with engineers, technologists, and support staff to provide engineering services to a variety of public and private sector clients. Your projects will focus on provincial, municipal, and community related water/wastewater infrastructure including water and wastewater treatment facilities.You will be involved in preparing studies, designs, specifications, and contract documents. You will also participate in scheduling and tendering, construction inspection, and contract administration. You will also provide support to other members of our team and complete other duties as assigned while working on a variety of projects in a collaborative team environment.As part of the Winnipeg Water team, you will contribute to and integrate with our high functioning team of Engineers, Technologists, and Project Administrators.You will lead by example and apply new perspectives on technology use and the efficient application of technology. You are forward thinking and will engage fellow discipline members to improve overall team performance and client service.You will primarily work on projects throughout Associated Engineering’s Manitoba region, with the opportunity to work on projects throughout Canada.Responsibilities will include:Preparation of proposals, design criteria, preliminary designs, detailed engineering design and specifications, and reportsTechnical guidance and mentoring of project team members including other engineers, and technical support staffLiaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities, and contractorsDeveloping and enhancing client relationships and assisting with project management activitiesJob RequirementsWhat you will bring:Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or an associated discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution10+ years of relevant experience gained in a professional engineering settingP.Eng. in good standing with Engineers Geoscientists ManitobaExperience in the preparation of construction drawings, design calculations, cost estimates, and tender documentsExperience in contract administration and construction inspectionExperience in project management and project coordinationAbility to write technical reports and proposalsStrong analytical thinking and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skillsAbility to work within tight deadlines and schedulesPossess a valid class 5 driver's license.Willingness and ability to travel as requiredEveryone has their own unique talents, skills, and background.
