Position Senior Java Developer – TD Securities, Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Location Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours 37.5 hours per week Salary $102,200 – $125,000 CAD (base) plus discretionary variable pay based on company and individual performance. Job Summary TD Securities is seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to design and implement the Trading Risk Warehouse platform. The solution will serve Risk Analysts, Front‑Office Traders, and Senior Executives, requiring high‑scale, low‑latency systems and cutting‑edge technologies. Responsibilities Develop high‑quality code for web UI, RestAPI, and data pipelines (ETL). Perform unit testing and integration testing. Identify opportunities to optimize existing code. Pinpoint root causes and resolve production issues. Leverage best practices in continuous integration and delivery. Continuously improve processes, architecture, and software quality. Explore new capabilities and technologies to drive innovation. Required Technical Skills 7+ years Java/JEE experience Spring Boot microservices development Experience with Spark/Scala Experience with Linux environments Designing and integrating with REST APIs Experience with messaging technologies, Hadoop, Parquet or similar Big Data tools Strong SQL skills and experience with a NoSQL database such as Cassandra (preferred) Experience with Git, CI/CD tools (Maven), Jenkins, and Agile development Solid understanding of design patterns and coding practices Experience building scalable, low‑latency systems Passion for simplifying and automating work, improving efficiency, and helping others. Desired Technical Skills Spark/Scala (additional experience) Cassandra/NoSQL database expertise MS SQL Server knowledge Spring Boot/Angular/RestAPI stack familiarity Desired Business Skills Excellent communication and collaboration within a global team Experience in fast‑paced environments, working with project managers and business sponsors Knowledge of capital markets products, including derivatives and cross‑asset products (nice to have) Hands‑on experience with market risk and/or PnL (profit and loss) (nice to have) #J-18808-Ljbffr
