The incumbent will be responsible to build and own a new strategic sales vertical targeting advisor group between 25‑500 users in the Canadian financial services market. This is a ground‑floor opportunity to pioneer our approach to this underserved market segment, combining consultative sales with partnership development to drive adoption of our Advisor Wealth Tech (AWT) solutions. Also, he or she will represent approximately 800 firms in Canada that sit between our traditional B2C and Enterprise segments. These organizations, including advisory groups affiliated with AGAs, MGAs, MFDA, and IIROC, require specialized attention and a tailored approach that balances individual advisor needs with organizational efficiency. Your Day with Equisoft Drive growth within the Advisor Wealth Technology segment by targeting advisory groups of 25–500 advisors, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through negotiation and close. Build a deep understanding of the Canadian mid‑market landscape (including AGAs, MGAs, MFDA and IIROC‑regulated firms) and develop account‑based sales strategies tailored to priority organizations. Develop and nurture strategic relationships across wholesale distribution networks, industry associations, and key referral partners. Establish partnership pathways with advisory firms where direct sales are not immediately feasible. Identify and participate in high‑value industry conferences and events aligned to the 25–500 advisor market. Create differentiated sponsorship opportunities and contribute to webinars, workshops, case studies, and other thought‑leadership initiatives showcasing product value. Execute multi‑channel outreach campaigns informed by market research, advisor pain points, and relevant business triggers. Articulate a compelling value proposition that clearly differentiates the offering within a competitive landscape. Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights that resonate with diverse buyer types. Develop mid‑market‑specific messaging tailored to compliance, sales efficiency, and operational productivity priorities. Manage the entire sales pipeline, conduct regular business reviews, and deliver accurate revenue forecasts. Maintain clear rules of engagement with enterprise teams for accounts with centralization potential or large‑scale opportunities. Collaborate closely with Customer Experience, Marketing, and Support teams to ensure seamless handoffs, aligned execution, and an exceptional customer journey. Requirements Technical Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B software sales, preferably in financial services technology Proven track record of meetings or exceeding sales quotas in a new business development role Experience selling to financial advisors, wealth management firms, or insurance distribution channels Strong understanding of the Canadian financial services landscape (MGAs, AGAs, IIROC, MFDA) Demonstrated ability to navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders Proficiency in CRM systems (HubSpot experience a plus) Ability to travel for events or clients locations all over Canada Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written) Soft Skills Self‑starter mentality with ability to thrive in ambiguous, entrepreneurial environments Excellent relationship‑building and consultative selling skills Customer driven and proactiveness Strong sense of organization and prioritizing Analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to communicate, write and synthesize information Ability to multi‑task in a rapid‑paced environment Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline Nice to Haves Experience selling wealth management technology, CRM, portfolio management, or compliance solutions Existing relationships within Canadian advisory firms, MGAs, or financial planning organizations Current or previous experience as a financial advisor, compliance professional, or in financial services operations Experience building a territory or vertical from scratch Familiarity with account‑based marketing and selling methodologies Track record of successful referral partnership development Equisoft is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
