Responsibilities Serve as a legal steward and strategic partner, playing a central role in Chard’s growth and operating at the intersection of law and business strategy. Act as a core member of the executive leadership team, working alongside the CEO and executive team to unlock new markets and shape the future of real estate in BC and beyond. Forge innovative partnerships with government and institutions, expanding Chard’s footprint into new regions. Structure complex deals that advance the company’s long‑term vision, balancing risk and opportunity to ensure the business moves forward with confidence. Provide seasoned, business‑friendly counsel that keeps deals moving, protects the company’s interests, and helps shape new ventures across acquisitions, financing, strategic partnerships, and retail leasing. Qualifications Experience as a business‑focused legal professional with both large firm and in‑house experience, advising on a broad range of corporate commercial matters. Proficiency in deal structuring, partnerships, compliance and risk management, and contract negotiation. Pragmatic, solutions‑oriented advisor who balances risk with opportunity, maintaining trust with executives, project leaders, and external partners. Specific experience in real estate development, construction, or asset management is ideal but not required. Strong communication and leadership skills, comfortable at the intersection of law, strategy, and business.
