We provide private, corporate, and medevac flight services across wide geographies and travel needs.Location & TravelThis position can be based out of any of SkyCare’s locations in Kitchener, Sioux Lookout, or Thunder Bay, Ontario, or St. Andrews, Manitoba. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel regularly to each base.SalarySalary: $64,000 – $92,000 annually, commensurate with education and experience. Salary progression based on merit.Job SummaryThe Education Specialist is a newly created role developed to support SkyCare’s rapidly growing business. This position collaborates with all departments to develop, redesign, deliver, and evaluate training materials. The Education Specialist ensures educational initiatives are effectively coordinated, compliant with relevant regulations, and aligned with company values and organizational goals.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with all departments to gather and analyze information to design, develop, and deliver efficient and effective training programs that positively impact the organization.Research, design, implement, and maintain standardized, comprehensive training courses, programs, and documentation based on evolving organizational needs.Manage and maintain internal documents for easy access and retrieval by relevant teams.Update and revise internal documentation to reflect process and procedure changes.Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes and improve quality and efficiency.Provide training and support to internal teams on documentation tools, processes, and best practices.Conduct learning needs assessments and deliver customized training programs.Act as a subject matter expert on documentation-related inquiries and provide guidance as needed.Stay current on the aviation industry and training and development trends to enhance SkyCare’s training programs.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Communication, Business Administration, Adult Education, or related field.At least 3 years of progressive experience in a similar role with a proven ability to design, develop and execute engaging blended learning programs.Previous experience in the aviation industry is an asset.Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is a requirement.Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesA flexible, upbeat and energetic attitude; a self-starter who can quickly build strong partnerships.Capable of taking initiative and making recommendations.Superior planning, coordination and prioritization skills.Strategic thinking to understand organizational objectives while being hands-on in developing and writing content.Excellent writing skills with experience developing content for complex or technical topics.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to facilitate group discussions and collaborate with others.Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver training and provide coaching and mentoring to leaders within the organization.Proven ability to create and design effective learning and development materials.High degree of proficiency with technology.Knowledge of industry best practices, training and development methods, and adult learning theory.ApplyApply online at http://skycare.applytojobs.ca/Closing Date: Until filled.We embrace each other’s unique qualities through our commitment to inclusiveness, equity, and accessibility.
