Project Lead | Surgical Strategy Interior Health is seeking a permanent full‑time Project Lead, Surgical Strategy to join the Surgical Services Network. This role supports system change across Interior Health for improvements in surgical services care delivery. We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and systems‑minded thinker, preferably with experience in surgical services. Location: Flexible within the Okanagan region. Interior Health establishes salaries within the minimum and maximum of the salary range based on consideration of the qualifications and experience of the applicant, and an internal equity review of other employees. How You Will Create An Impact The Project Lead prepares and coordinates high‑priority surgical and/or gastrointestinal endoscopy projects from initial planning through implementation and evaluation at the regional level. The Project Lead is accountable to and responsible for reporting project status to the Manager and ensures the involvement of key partners such as clinicians, medical staff, and support staff throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Lead is required to lead or coordinate several projects simultaneously. What You Will Work On Provide leadership and direction to projects, including the development of project teams, for high‑priority IH and provincial surgical strategy implementation. Apply knowledge and experience in project management, process review, and analysis to ensure initiatives are completed in a timely manner and result in quantifiable improvements. Coordinate, analyse and interpret surgical services reporting and information, leading the process related to ongoing monitoring and reporting on progress and status of key metrics and deliverables. Utilise surgical services reports, data, and related information to support strategic decision‑making. Identify and analyse gaps and provide suggestions for mitigation of issues. Promote expedited resolution of problems or barriers to enable successful project implementation. Prepare formal reports and statistical information including executive summaries, project charters, needs assessments, gap analysis, work plans, cost estimates, status updates, and escalated issues for resolution. Liaise with internal and external partners, including facility staff, medical staff, consultants, community programs, communications, and the IH Surgical Services Network Team. Facilitate consensus and collaborate with departments outside Surgery to plan, implement, evaluate, and report on key IH and provincial strategies. Participate in Health Authority‑wide committees and working groups as required. Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety policies and report hazards or incidents to manager or supervisor immediately.
