Conference Supervisor, TD – Front Conferencing Location: 160 Front Street W, Toronto, ON M5J 2L6 Employment Status: Full‑Time Starting Hourly Rate: $26.00 per hour New Hire Schedule: TBD Job Summary This position is responsible for the supervision of all hourly food & beverage front‑of‑house associates, including porters, servers, and bartenders. Responsibilities The F&B Supervisor, reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, is responsible for supervising the conference center amenity and catering floors, including but not limited to: room sets, food delivery, beverage service, and food service for plated and banquet‑style events. The F&B supervisor assists the Food & Beverage Manager with assigned aspects of operations. Tasks may include associate coaching, associate onboarding, conflict resolution, problem solving, inventory counting, checking room sets, and assisting on the floor as required. Ensures consistent delivery of high‑quality food and beverage service to all members and guests. The F&B Floor Supervisor demonstrates common sense and understanding across a variety of situations, follows safe and healthy work practices, observes safety and security procedures, and reports all potentially unsafe conditions. Encourages all associates to accept leadership responsibilities at all times, empowering them to make a difference for guests. The primary objective is to ensure guests have an outstanding experience with Compass Group Canada by providing exceptional service and quality. Qualifications Secondary School Diploma and minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant environment. Valid HACCP, WHMIS, SmartServe Certification, and a clean Criminal Record Check. Language Skills Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French and/or a second language is considered an asset. Work Environment Employees are regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level is usually moderate.
