What You’ll Be Doing As a member of the Business Banking team, you’ll report to the Director or Senior Manager & Team Lead, Business Banking, providing new and existing clients with an exceptional client experience to support CIBC’s vision of being a leader in client relationships. You’ll help business clients meet their immediate and long-term goals by understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to deepen the CIBC relationship, increase client loyalty, and grow a portfolio of business-only connections. How You’ll Succeed Business Development – Build relationships with Centres of Influence (COIs) within the community to generate referrals to CIBC through both in‑person and digital channels. Proactively develop and manage a sales pipeline of diverse business‑banking opportunities. Client Engagement – Engage in discussions with assigned portfolio, partner‑referred, and prospective clients to understand their immediate financial needs while identifying opportunities to address longer‑term goals. Promote and demonstrate digital banking options and CIBC’s suite of Cash Management products. Relationship Management – Support existing clients and continuously seek new acquisition opportunities through referrals and internal partner relationships to deliver current financial products and solutions for the Business Banking market segment. Community Involvement – Heighten CIBC brand awareness by attending local events, participating in marketing & outreach activities, and growing your network to generate future small‑business opportunities. Who You Are 2+ years’ experience in Business Banking or Commercial Banking with strong knowledge of credit, cash‑management products, and financial analysis. Demonstrated ability to find the right solutions for clients, go the extra mile, and deliver results. Passionate about building relationships, a strong communicator, and able to connect with others through respect and authenticity. Act like an owner, thrive when empowered to take the lead, go above and beyond, and deliver results. Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
