We are currently recruiting for a Desk Adjuster Level 1to join our team in Canada. The position location is flexible, and we can offer in-office, hybrid or fully remote working arrangements. Responsibilities Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information. Accurate recording, reporting and presentation of files. Evaluates coverage, liability and quantum. Maintenance of accurate billing, and time and expense records. Negotiates, settles and finalizes claims. Work with managers to maintain client relations. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in an insurance claims environment. Experience with auto, liability or bodily injury experience would be an asset. Working towards full Independent Adjusting License and CIP Designation. AMF personal and/or commercial license would be an asset. Multiple CIP courses would be considered an asset. Maintain an active licence in home jurisdiction. Pursue licences in other provincial jurisdictions based on eligibility. Post-secondary education in an insurance related field is an asset. Knowledge of commercial and personal lines in both Property and Auto PD will be considered an asset. Ability to conduct telephone investigations, evaluate, negotiate and settle. Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records. Advanced computer skills including Office 365 and Windows 10. Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
