Utility Sales Specialist – Greenlee Tools

OverviewWe are looking for a highly motivated sales professional to join our North American sales team. As an Electrical Utility Sales Specialist, you will sell, promote, and demonstrate the Greenlee & RIDGID brands of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will reside in Toronto, ON, Montreal, QC, or the Alberta area. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager for the Canadian Region. Your job will offer unique perspectives and insights into how customers view their business and align their insights and priorities while tying those insights back to Emerson Professional Tools' unique product differentiators. You will drive two-way communications, clearly articulate our value proposition, and engage the end-customer in jointly addressing their business priorities. Our primary sales focus is on the large Utilities in the assigned region, and you will additionally coordinate with the local Territory Manager\'s activity in this market.ResponsibilitiesAccountable for the direction, coordination, and growth of all utility market sales through direct customer contact and close coordination with local ProTools Territory Managers.Working in a matrix-managed environment, which includes providing coaching and direction to regional Territory Managers.Performing field product demonstrations, training, & technical support with end-users and distribution channel partners.Driving strategic new products sales and solutions to expand markets and shareDeveloping, presenting, & implementing annual business plans to deliver incremental sales growthDeveloping and Managing a monthly/yearly sales forecastDeveloping & owning relationships with both Key Distributor Partners and End UsersThe subject matter expert for the product, applications, & pricing program for your given marketSupporting regional & national organizations through training and special projects executionWho you areYou self-motivated, a problem solver, and a solution provider. You enjoy & excel at building deep customer relationships. You plan, organize, & manage my work & time well. You prefer a hands-on approach with a “roll-up your sleeves and get dirty” mentality. You collaborate & communicate effectively both internally and externally across multiple teams.RequirementsMust have existing professional relationships and technical skills in the electrical utility market.1+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or other relevant fields; OR2+ years of relevant experience in the Utility Field or Industrial sales instead of a bachelor’s degreeStrong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work in a matrix-managed environment, including coaching, mentoring, and providing selling support to Territory ManagersSolid eye for business, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated success in formulating, presenting, executing, & measuring Business PlansA proven track record and successful history of achieving goals and sales targets in the Electrical Utility market.Ability to work in Canada without the need for sponsorship now or in the futurePreferred QualificationsFive (5) years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or technical support of B2B Sales preferredProficiency in MS Excel & PowerPoint; CRM Application experience a plus.Experience with distribution channels, with emphasis on Electrical, industrial, and plumbingOur Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
