This position offers an opportunity to have a positive impact on the environment and on our employee’s health and safety in a complex and multi-disciplinary site. This position will be a hands‑on resource for employees and support the environmental, health & safety (EHS) program at assigned Point of Care Diagnostics location(s). The successful candidate has a passion for EHS and actively seeks to assess and improve the site’s regulatory compliance and mission to reduce harm to people and the environment. Job Responsibilities Actively supports the site EHS program under the direction of the Site EHS Leader and acts as backup resource when needed. Engages site employees at all levels from frontline employees to senior leadership to improve EHS performance through risk reduction with visibility across all three sites on a regular basis. Performs inspections, assessments, and audits to ensure site compliance with applicable environmental, health and safety regulatory standards at the local and national level. Partners with the site to execute incident management (good observation, near miss, injury/illness, environmental) and successfully identify root cause(s) & contributing factors, assign corrective & preventative actions, and track actions to closure to prevent reoccurrence. Drives collaboration with site leadership and employees to spread EHS accountability & ownership across the business. Actively participates in the Global Point of Care EHS, Diagnostics EHS, and Siemens Healthineers EHS teams where applicable. Supports the site’s Environmental Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) to comply with Siemens Healthineers EHSMS standards and maintain certification in ISO 14001 & 45001 by participating in certifying body audits and internal audits as scheduled. Executes engagement activities, including frequent shop floor presence and communications, implementation of hazard identification programming, and site EHS committees. Supports all EHS related employee training programs, including new hire training, refresher training, and in‑person competency training for high‑risk programs. Other duties as assigned by EHS & Site leadership. Qualifications Proven EHS experience, preference given to a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with ISO 14001 and 45001 EHS Management Systems. General knowledge of applicable EHS regulations. Further training in COSHH would be advantageous but isn't essential Excellent communication, organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to recognize potential hazards or compliance issues. Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and see a project to conclusion. Successful candidate will spend a significant percentage of time in physical work environment to ensure visibility, partnership, and dynamic evaluation of risks.
