Social Services Manager Posted on November 27, 2025 Employer: Stella's Circle Location: St. John's, NL A1C 2E6 Work location: On site Salary: $84,712.47 to $91,639.19 per year (to be negotiated) – 37.5 hours per week Terms of employment: Full time, Term or contract Start date: As soon as possible Responsibilities Direct the delivery of social and community service programs Evaluate the delivery of social and community service programs Plan and organize the delivery of social and community service programs Hire and provide training for professional and non‑professional staff Administer the programs of non‑governmental organizations involved with social issues Direct and advise professional and non‑professional staff Establish administrative procedures Manage the operations and activities of social and community centres, correctional facilities and detention centres Plan, administer and control budgets for projects, programs, support services and equipment Resolve conflict situations Provide coaching and supervision to a team of 16‑20 people Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field Experience: 5 years or more in social/ community services management Area of specialization: Corporate social responsibility Security and safety: Criminal record check, enhanced reliability security clearance, vulnerable sector check Transportation/travel: Valid driver’s licence Work conditions: Work under pressure, attention to detail, fast‑paced environment, large workload, large caseload, tight deadlines Personal suitability: Accurate, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organised, reliability, team player, values and ethics, proactive Benefits Health Benefits Dental plan Disability benefits Health care plan Paramedical services coverage Vision care benefits Financial Benefits Group insurance benefits Life insurance Mileage paid Registered Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) Long‑term Benefits Tax‑Free Savings Account (TFSA) Other Benefits Learning/training paid by employer Team building opportunities Wellness program Who can apply for this job?
