Top Customer Solutions Developer, Compute, High Touch Support, Google Cloud Join Google as a Top Customer Solutions Developer supporting high-touch, 24x7 customer success on the Google Cloud Platform. You will work with enterprise customers, troubleshooting complex environments, providing technical escalations, and serving as a consultant to improve product and customer experience. Preferred work locations include Waterloo, ON, Canada and Austin, TX, USA. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 6+ years of experience troubleshooting and advocating for customers, triaging technical issues, or software development. Experience creating technical content for developers (e.g., documentation, white papers, course material). Proficient in Java, C, C++, Python, or Go, and able to read, write, and debug code. Experience with distributed systems and related design patterns or best practices. Experience with web technologies (HTTP, HTML, DNS, TCP). Preferred Qualifications Experience in crisis response or escalation management across multiple teams. Experience with public cloud services, particularly Google Cloud Platform. Experience as a system/network administrator working with Linux/Unix systems and client-server protocols. Experience debugging large-scale, multi-node workloads. Experience with system virtualization, on-premise, or hybrid cloud environments. Experience developing developer tools such as automation, testing, or debugging utilities. Responsibilities Work with customers on production deployments to resolve issues and achieve product readiness, availability, and scale. Triage and handle technical escalations, including platform outages, technical issues, and executive concerns. Deepen understanding of GCP product technology and architectures by troubleshooting, reproducing, and determining root causes of customer-reported issues. Act as a consultant and subject‑matter expert for internal stakeholders (Sales, Product, Customer Organizations) to overcome technical deployment obstacles and improve GCP. Advocate for customer needs with internal teams to drive product improvement and production readiness. Participate in a globally distributed team that ensures 24‑hour customer support, which may include non‑standard work hours, shifts, and weekend work.
