To get there, we're seeking extraordinary individuals to join our team.Position DescriptionTitle : Production SupervisorDepartment : ProductionStatus : Full-time, PermanentPrinciple AccountabilitiesIPG is inviting application for a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR to join our team in Toronto, Ontario on the Night Shift . The Shift Supervisor uses lean manufacturing principles to oversee safety, quality and production ensuring an organized and efficient process by monitoring the process, associates and workflows. The supervisor optimizes day-to-day activities while minimizing losses. The goal is to deliver products that meet customer requirements in a safe profitable manner.Enforcing safety and environmental regulations as directed by Federal, Provincial and Company guidelines.Promote and direct lean efforts within the team; must be able to support measured improvements on a continuous basis; to include safety, quality, productivity, employee's development and cost.Support and ensure all employees follow IPG policies, procedures and company standards.Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning associates; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.Work with the Engineering and Maintenance departments to ensure processes, equipment improvements and preventative maintenance efforts are identified and supported.Provides manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data; answering questions and responding to requests.Produce and analyze charts, work orders and production schedule, to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production uses and needs.Responsible to ensure all supporting staff are trained on their positions, and records are always up to date and available for review.Maintains positive working relationships with an open-door policy and ensuring a respectful, fair work environment.Responsible to performance manage employees that violate company policies and procedures.Essential Skills and ExperienceBachelor's degree or college diploma in a related field like Business Administration, commerce or economics.5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience; working in a unionized environment considered an assetStrong interpersonal communications, and team-based management skills.Intermediate level user of the current Microsoft Office suite of products, excellent working knowledge of WMS, ERP systems, familiarity with MRP software, and a solid understanding and user of query-based software tools.Intertape Polymer has a competitive compensation and benefits package and is committed to providing a safe work environment.Intertape Polymer is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
