Today, our Accounting and Finance Department is looking for a talented and seasoned Billing Specialist. About the Opportunity:

We’re currently looking for a Billing Specialist to support our Finance department and provide general financial, clerical, and administrative services to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate billing of client accounts. This is a hybrid role and candidates are expected to be in the office a minimum of 1 day a week.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage customer account related activities including processing payments, collections, and accounting for customer transactions
  • Prepare daily bank report and reconcile general ledger accounts related to customers
  • Process payments including deposits and cash application from customers
  • Proactively monitor and report on customer accounts, including potential problems or bad debt
  • Respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems
  • Issue and post invoices and credits to customers (for accounts assigned) in NetSuite
  • Process daily client funding in our customer system (GRS) and act as the main contact person for any funding or payment related query
  • Take part in the client onboarding process to ensure timely account creation and update in customer relation management portal (Hubspot)
  • Work with the Sales and Account Management Teams to resolve any billing conflicts
  • Assist with month end and year-end processes
  • Provide ad-hoc reports to the management team as needed
  • Perform other accounting or administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Related experience in accounting and accounts receivable in similar sized companies or industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Relevant post-secondary education, preferably a degree program in accounting or finance
  • Excel skills
Nice to Have Qualification:
  • Completed or enrolled in the CPA program
