Sr Manager, Banking Admin & Treasury Ops Position: Sr Manager, Banking Administration & Treasury Operations at Peoples Group. About The Role The Senior Manager, Banking Administration & Treasury Operations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the operational integrity of banking administration, mid‑office settlements, and treasury support functions. This role ensures seamless execution of financial transactions, supports liquidity and funding strategies, and drives operational excellence across treasury. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Lead banking administration and treasury support activities across various financial institutions. Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions to access banking service solutions. Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements (OSFI, Payments Canada rules). Act as key liaison between Corporate Treasury, Payment Operations, and Finance teams. Support onboarding and maintenance of banking relationships, account structures, and payment channels. Act as liaison between treasury and payment operations to ensure alignment on liquidity flows. Lead delivery of mid‑office services—settlement of derivatives, fixed‑income security sale/purchase, and collateral management. Collaborate with payment rail managers/leads to perform cash and collateral management. Ensure timely execution of treasury‑related payments. Contribute to cash forecasting and intraday liquidity reporting. Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements to improve operational efficiency. Support implementation of payment initiatives (e.g., RTR, real‑time payments). Participate in risk reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA preferred. 5–7 years of experience in banking operations, treasury, or payment settlements, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Deep understanding of Canadian payment systems, liquidity management, and settlement processes. Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and operational risk management.
