Solution Architect

Overview of the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to design, implement, and oversee technical solutions that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise across various technologies, a solid foundation in risk management, and a proven ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative and effective solutions. This opportunity is open to full‑time salaried employees, contract employees, and independent contractors.What You’ll Be Doing in the RoleCollaborating with technical teams to understand system architecture, integrations, and data flows.Supporting knowledge transfer and onboarding for internal technical leadership.Reviewing and enhancing technical documentation and strategies with subject matter experts.Identifying data and technology challenges, proposing effective solutions and recommendations.Leading and mentoring multidisciplinary teams while promoting agile and collaborative practices.Ensuring alignment with enterprise technical strategies across architecture, integration, platforms, DevOps, and security.Designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using modern technologies and best practices.Developing integration patterns to connect legacy and cloud‑based systems.Preparing risk assessments and technical documentation to guide project delivery.Providing updates and technical insights to senior leadership and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.What Skills / Qualifications You’ll Need to Do the JobProven experience leading large‑scale solution architecture initiatives within complex enterprise environments.Strong knowledge across all architectural domains — application, data, technology, and security.Expertise in modern architecture and integration patterns, including API‑driven design, microservices, and DevOps practices.Experience working with and integrating legacy systems into modern platforms.Proficient in Microsoft technologies such as .NET and C#, with experience in ASP.NET Core MVC, Blazor, and Razor Pages.Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in cross‑functional teams.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical teams.Government or public sector experience is a must.AssetsFamiliarity with AI technologies and automation practices is an asset.Knowledge of security, compliance, and data privacy standards applicable to government or regulated environments is an asset.Experience managing multiple projects or workstreams concurrently is considered an asset.BenefitsA values‑driven workplace where people really matter.Flexible work location, support for remote work and some on‑site work may be required.Competitive salary, retirement savings program, and rewards program.Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans and access to e‑health care.Paid vacation, maternity/parental leave, paid sick leave and paid Mariner MyLife days.Unlimited training.Why MarinerWe believe in making a positive impact in the communities where we live and work.
