Clinic Details – Kelowna General Hospital Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) is one of two tertiary hospitals within Interior Health and the region’s main referral centre, offering a full range of services with approximately 400 beds and over 84,000 ED visits yearly. Adjacent to KGH is the brand‑new Interior Heart & Surgical Centre (IHSC), BC’s only cardiac critical care centre outside of Victoria and the Lower Mainland, featuring 9 specialised operating rooms for academic and cardiac surgery. KGH also serves as a teaching centre for the Southern Medical Program affiliated with UBC, training Royal College Emergency Medicine Physicians and Family Physicians. Practice Details Fantastic opportunity for a general adult Psychiatrist to join the expanding Psychiatry department at Kelowna General Hospital. Our team delivers excellence in care within a culture of teamwork and offers a variety of clinical and teaching roles. Patient assessment and treatment Collaboration with clinicians and managers Developing and maintaining appropriate programmes, policies and procedures Intensive case management support for serious and persistent mental illness Support of the Mental Health and Substance Use (MHSU) clinic and community telepsychiatry Teaching opportunities for medical students and residents Leadership development through Interior Health’s NAVIG8 Emerging Physician Leaders Program Qualifications We welcome passionate and hardworking experienced candidates as well as new graduates to our team at KGH. Compensation Fee‑for‑Service Estimated remuneration $250,000 – $400,000, plus MOCAP level 2 Physician overhead. Overhead costs associated with private practice only. Benefits and Incentives Relocation funding available $9,000 – $15,000 (based on move location with eligible receipts). Part‑time positions may qualify for a pro‑rated reimbursement. Incentives are subject to change and current rates are confirmed at the time of offer. Payment structure: Combined fee‑for‑service plus sessions.
