As an Actuarial Analyst I, you will assist in implementing and delivering pricing strategies to achieve business objectives. Reporting to the Actuarial Manager, the Actuarial Analyst I is expected to demonstrate a high level of curiosity, a strong ability and willingness to learn, and a commitment to contributing to the team's mandate.ResponsibilitiesRegional Auto (ON, QC, WP) or Residential PricingLearn to update pricing algorithm to support business objectives toward profitability and growthParticipate in pricing strategy discussion and assist with implementationSupport regulatory filing preparation, where requiredPricing OptimizationAssist in building models and applying optimization techniques to recommend premium adjustmentsLearn to track the performance of deployed strategies and identify areas for improvementFinancial PerformanceAssist in tracking and reporting financial performance of pricing strategiesLearn to apply financial projection and pricing conceptsRisk Sharing Pool (RSP) Strategy and PerformanceAssist in centralizing and optimizing RSP cession strategyLearn to analyze cession results and pool performance and their impact on business objectivesPrivate Client Advice (PCA)Assist in tracking profitability of the PCA Book of businessGain exposure to complex risk and special coverage needsAssist in calculating premiums for special coverage needsAffinity Market Group (AMG)Help review and update group discounts and understand AMG's impact on business objectivesSupport monitoring of affinity group profitabilityAssist in updating AMG profit-sharing programsInitiatives & GovernanceSupport internal product and pricing initiatives from the initial business case to rate filingsContribute to the development of our Bias and Fairness pillar to ensure our pricing strategies reflect these principlesJob RequirementsUniversity degree in Actuarial Science or related fieldKnowledge of ExcelProficiency or interest for programming, notably with SQL and RStrong aptitude for team workPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of predictive modelingWorking through actuarial professional examinationWho We AreAs part of TD Bank Group, one of Canada’s largest financial institutions, at TD Insurance, we care for Canadian families, making it easy to get the best advice, protection, and support in their moments of need, always.
