The Franchise team shapes the payments ecosystem by establishing principles and foundational standards, onboarding new participants, enabling disputes processes, and ensuring the safety and integrity of our network…. all while driving Innovative concepts. Role Franchise Growth & Enablement is seeking a Manager to build and run a comprehensive risk evaluation methodology for Specialty Merchant program. The responsibilities of this role will predominantly be: Design and lead the development of a robust risk evaluation framework to identify and segment high‑risk merchants, ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory standards. Translate qualitative and quantitative risk indicators into measurable metrics, enabling consistent and scalable risk assessments across diverse merchant profiles. Establish and oversee ongoing evaluation policies and procedures, ensuring they remain current, effective, and compliant with internal and external requirements. Manage the execution of regular risk evaluations, maintaining a disciplined cadence to proactively monitor merchant risk and surface emerging trends. Serve as a strategic partner to Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams, facilitating cross‑functional collaboration to maintain a comprehensive and accurate view of merchant risk across all domains. Utilize market intelligence, stakeholder feedback, and performance data to continuously enhance the risk framework, driving innovation and improving decision‑making capabilities. All About You Proven ability to develop and implement risk frameworks and policies in a complex, regulated environment. Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative risk modeling and data‑driven decision‑making. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of cross‑functional collaboration. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to merchant risk and compliance. Proficiency in tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); experience with risk scoring models is a plus. Proven experience and impact in strategy, execution, and project management. Ability to build trust and relationships among internal stakeholders. Capable of multi‑tasking in a fast‑paced environment. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management, planning and organizational skills. High efficiency using data to support thinking / build recommendations. Payment or network payments experience preferred.
