Outside Technical Sales Representative - Mechanical Automation ComponentsBase Pay RangeCA$80,000.00/yr - CA$100,000.00/yrTerritoryGolden Horseshoe & Greater Toronto AreaPosition OverviewThis is a technical field sales role focused on selling mechanical automation components. Your responsibility is to visit customers, understand their automation and mechanical motion requirements, and recommend the correct component solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesField Sales & Territory ManagementManage and grow business across the Golden Horseshoe & GTA territory through daily customer visits.Develop new relationships at automation integrators, robotics companies, and automotive plants.Identify mechanical automation opportunities within customer facilities (e.g., grippers, drives, motors, gearboxes, bearings, linear actuators).Visit 3–5 customers per day across the territory.Conduct technical presentations, equipment discussions, and product demos.Technical Product SupportUnderstand customer mechanical applications, load requirements, part‑handling needs, torque/speed constraints, and motion requirements.Recommend the correct mechanical automation components based on engineering constraints.Collaborate with internal technical staff to prepare quotes and support the engineering team with application details.Provide guidance during product trials, installations, and customer training sessions.Maintain a healthy pipeline; track opportunities in CRM.Prepare quotes and follow up professionally with customers.Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets.Attend trade shows, industry events, and customer open houses.Qualifications3–7 years of outside technical sales experience, selling mechanical automation components such as drives, motors, gearboxes, bearings, actuators (pneumatic or electric), mechanical grippers, and linear modules/motion components.Experience selling to automation integrators, machine builders, robotics OEMs, or automotive manufacturing plants.Strong understanding of mechanical automation, motion systems, robotic tooling, and industrial equipment.Must live in the Toronto territory (e.g., Niagara, Hamilton, Ancaster, Burlington, Mississauga, Vaughan, Scarborough).Excellent communication, self‑management, and relationship‑building skills.Valid G driver’s licence with daily travel across the territory.PreferredExperience with mechanical EOAT (end‑of‑arm tooling) or robotic gripper solutions.Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes, tooling, or robotic material handling.Knowledge of mechanical systems such as torque, inertia, payload, and mechanical load calculations.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary based on education and experience.Bonus / Commission plan.Full Benefits: Health & dental benefits after probation.RRSP matching.Why This Role Is AttractiveGrow business in one of the strongest automation regions in Canada.Be the key technical advisor for mechanical automation solutions.Work with high‑quality, in‑demand automation hardware.Combine technical problem‑solving with customer interaction.Autonomy to manage your own territory with strong internal support. #J-18808-Ljbffr
