We are SLR Consulting (Canada), a 700+ team of advisory, environmental and engineering, and regulatory professionals across 21 office locations in Canada. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. Role SLR is seeking an Electrical Technologist to provide design, drafting, and management activities for utility‑scale solar, energy storage, and transit electrification projects. Candidates are to be based in Canada, but projects will be all over North America and the Caribbean. Ideal candidates for this position are those that are hardworking, detail‑oriented, enjoy technical challenges, all while working in a fun and highly collaborative atmosphere. Responsibilities Support communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to achieve deliverables Create drawing packages for interconnection, RFPs, proposals, procurement, and construction using AutoCAD Build a process flow for projects and create libraries for standard equipment Prepare utility‑scale PV layouts with PV case to optimize and determine grade limitations Run production (PVWatts, PVSyst, etc.) reports for system production estimates Coordinate with Sales team to develop complete proposal packages Lead, collaborate, and knowledge share with fellow colleagues Understand project lifecycles and the drafting deliverables required for each stage Review and create drafting standards to provide consistency throughout the firm and meet client requirements Working @ SLR Competitive total compensation package including comprehensive benefits, vacation, and a suite of wellness initiatives The salary range for this position is 70,000 – 80,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location. Full‑time, permanent role with opportunities for professional growth and advancement Qualifications Graduated from a Canadian electrical and energy systems technologist program Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural, mechanical, or electrical design Experienced in solar and battery energy storage systems Must have strong proficiency with AutoCAD LT, PVcase, and Microsoft Office Working knowledge of location requirements CEC, OESC, and NFPA 855 is an asset Strong verbal and written communication skills SLR strives to build diverse teams that reflect the communities we work in, and encourages applications from traditionally underrepresented groups including women, visible minorities, Indigenous peoples, people identifying as 2SLGBTQI+, veterans, and people with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
