ABOUT THE ROLE The custom millwork fabricatorwill: manufacture and assemble high-quality custom architectural elements and structures read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches and to understand project specifications determine tolerances and test project elements operate all woodworking machinery, finishing equipment, power tools, and hand tools work with different materials, including solid surfaces, epoxy, metals, melamine, solid wood, wood products perform exact measurements, ensure precise installation of hardware and other elements perform wood finishing, sanding, staining, and applying finishes monitor quality across the team and ensure each piece is fabricated to a high standard plan and execute fabrication strategies; oversee and manage junior fabricators and assistants manageschedules to meet deadlines and provide consistent, regular project updates to management maintain awareness of inventory and requirements for upcoming projects ensure safe work practices are adhered to and follow all safety policies and procedures maintain a clean and tidy work area and facilitate required repairs and maintenance to all equipment ABOUT YOU You have: training from a relevant program such as woodworking, millwork, carpentry or cabinetmaking OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience experience as a lead-hand or senior fabricator a passion for challenging fabrication and tight tolerances the ability to self-motivate and be schedule conscious a strong attention to detail and amazing problem-solving skills competency in reading and interpreting blueprints/drawings a thorough understanding of health and safety principles and practices a willingness to collaborate with a team and work independently when needed an in-depth understanding of fabrication processes and manufacturing/building materials experience with materials like wood, solid surfaces, fabric, acrylic, glass, leather flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends WHY JOIN EVENTSCAPE? claim your place in our collaborative network of multi-disciplinary architectural fabrication experts make meaningful contributions to projects at the forefront of architecture, art, and design be part of a fast-paced, creative, challenging, and highly rewarding work environment unwind with our active social calendar featuring contests, celebrations, and unique activities be inspired and challenged by our team of the most creative, talented, and passionate individuals join a fast-growing company with opportunities for advancement leverage state-of-the-art machinery and be on the forefront of technical innovation experience the thrill of seeing our projects come to life through fabrication and installation enjoy extended health and dental benefits be a valued member of a socially conscious and family-owned company join us as we build the extraordinary APPLY NOW Apply now with your resume and 1-2 lines about how your experience relates to advanced custom architectural fabrication.
