This includes serving as the lead software project engineer during initiating, planning, executing, controlling and closing of customer projects/programs. The successful candidate will confirm customer requirements, including software system development requirements, software and hardware specifications, and bill of materials alignment with specifications and exceptions.Salary Range: This pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation that the position offers; final compensation can vary within the range depending on work location, job experience, skills, and relevant educational attainment and/or training. Responsibilities Project Initiation - assist in project management as lead software project engineer in developing and/or finalizing technical elements of the project’s statement of work with the customer. Maintain role as lead project engineer and technical contact for the customer for the remainder of the project order. Project Planning - assist in developing a project schedule, risk management plan, and communication plan to ensure expectations are met internally and externally. Project Execution - assist system architect in system design efforts and serve as lead software project engineer to the project technical team. Monitor and Control Project Work - monitor and control performance through the project lifecycle, including task verification, team monitoring, updates, schedule reporting, issue resolution, contract administration, and risk management. Project Close - lead project closeout including financial reconciliation, verification of equipment arrival, installation, start-up, and training completion; validate project performance against target profitability. Provide technical guidance to technical team members. Qualifications Required Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science and 5+ years of industry experience. Software Engineer experience developing industrial automation, information and facilities monitoring solutions involving the following software (required significant experience with at least one): Enterprise SCADA, OASyS DNA, Vijeo/Citect SCADA, Ampla MES, ClearSCADA, WonderWare SCADA, WonderWare Historian, or other significant SCADA/MES software. Desired Experience: Microsoft SQL Server SQL C# Microsoft Reporting Services Other programming languages and web interface software development experience is desired but not required. Successful candidates should be able to develop, install and commission custom systems (hardware and software). They should be able to handle high-pressure situations on customer sites and interact with both Government and Private Sector customers. The role involves domestic and international travel (20-50%).
