The appropriately qualified candidate will have an understanding and significant experience in civil engineering design and construction administration/management principles with a focus on the design and construction of municipal infrastructure projects. Knowledge and understanding of land development (subdivision/site plan) projects is an asset.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Design and contract administration of civil systems associated with water and/or wastewater and drainage conveyance and storm water management facilities, road reconstruction, and coordination of supporting electrical and landscaping design services.Prepare documentation for design projects and reports.Prepare construction cost estimates, security reduction estimates.Preparation of project specifications and contract documents.Perform constructability reviews.Lead construction contract administration, including staffing management and coordination. Assist with construction inspections as required. Additional responsibilities will include client communication and management; lead and assist with proposal preparation; coordination of approvals with regulatory agencies; project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.Working knowledge of land development design services for a range of development types, including plans of subdivision and site plans (residential/commercial/industrial), including knowledge of draft plan and site plan approval processes, is an asset.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)Registered as P.Eng. in Province of Ontario or eligible within 6 months6+ years of related experience with civil engineering, design, construction inspection, contract administration.Valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a vehicle.Preferred Qualifications:8+ years of experience with municipal and private water, wastewater and/or stormwater conveyance infrastructure.Experience in proposal writing, scoping and project management.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients.Comfortable working in a multi-disciplinary environment.AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
