By joining our global team and learning from renowned subject matter experts, we can offer you a diverse career that could take you anywhere in the world.Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our growing Projects team in Mississauga, ON.The tasks you'll performEnsure compliance with the project specific requirements and current industry work codes and standards.Provide high-level engineering support and project schedule management duties as delegated by the Project Manager.Develop project control activities including scheduling, forecasting and other deliverables to a consistently high standard.Prepare and perform procurement, inspection and expediting activities.Develop and maintain the project quality management facility to ensure project quality targets and reporting are met.Prepare contract scope of works and commercial tender reviews.Carry out assigned project activities, including site engineer duties, in a manner that priorities safety, environment, community and industrial relations.Participate in the Project quality management process including carrying out inspections at vendor’s premises and review of vendor quality documentation.Prepare the estimating and scheduling components of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies.Manage tender and contract documentation for review in accordance with quality assurance.Coordinate the preparation of construction reports, contracts and schedules.Manage multiple tasks and prioritise where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.Register and file all relevant project documentation in accordance to the Company approved procedures.Contribute to engineers in training professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.The expertise you'll bringBachelor of Engineering or equivalent.5+ years’ post graduate experience in a similar position.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.Ability to work with people at all levels within an organisation and external providers.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise to a high standard of accuracy and professionalism.Solid technical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision whilst consistently producing a high quality of deliverables.Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and commitment.Demonstrate a strict practice of confidentiality, personal responsibility and discretion.Provide mentoring and identify avenues of professional development.High attention to detail and solid knowledge of design standards and specifications applicable to the group.The benefits we'll provideLycopodium has a strong company culture focused on career progression and technical skill development.
