What You’ll Be Doing As a member of the Business Banking team, you’ll report to the Director or Senior Manager & Team Lead. You’ll provide new and existing clients with an exceptional client experience, supporting CIBC’s vision of leadership in client relationships. As a Relationship Manager, you’ll help business clients meet their immediate and long‑term business goals by understanding client needs and identifying opportunities to deepen the CIBC relationship and enhance client loyalty. The focus is on meeting clients’ financial and credit needs by offering a comprehensive business banking portfolio or making formal introductions to the appropriate Imperial Service, Personal Banking or Private Banking colleagues. You’ll collaborate across CIBC to ensure the most appropriate segment is engaged. You’ll proactively manage and grow a portfolio of business‑only connections, deepening relationships and addressing business needs. How You’ll Succeed Business Development – Build relationships with Centres of Influence (COIs) to generate referrals via in‑person and digital channels. Identify opportunities for full relationships, deposit and credit solutions, and develop a sales pipeline of diverse business banking opportunities. Client Engagement – Proactively engage with the portfolio, partner‑referred and prospective clients to understand immediate financial needs and longer‑term goals. Deliver trusted advice, promote digital banking options and CIBC’s Cash Management products. Relationship Management – Support existing clients while seeking new acquisition opportunities through referrals and internal partner relationships. Grow a portfolio of business‑only connections, deepening the client relationship. Community Involvement – Increase CIBC brand awareness by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities, growing your network for future small‑business opportunities. Who You Are 2+ years of experience in Business or Commercial Banking with deep knowledge of credit, cash‑management products and financial analysis. A strong network in the local business community. A client‑first mindset, going the extra mile to find the right solutions. A passion for building relationships, strong communication, authenticity. A self‑steward who thrives when empowered to lead and deliver results. An undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
