This position offers the opportunity to be part of a world-class tax department with team members located in both The Woodlands, Texas and Ajax, Ontario. Our cross-border tax teams collaborate closely to support the comprehensive tax provision, compliance, audit, and strategic planning requirements of a large and sophisticated international organization. As a Senior Tax Analyst with us the minimum responsibilities are: * Assist with the preparation of the quarterly tax provision under US GAAP* Preparation of federal and provincial income tax returns* Calculating monthly tax installments* Preparation of foreign reporting information returns for foreign affiliates* Assist with the preparation of the Globe Income Return* Preparation and filing of commodity tax returns* Assist with CRA and Provincial Revenue Agency notices* Prepare working papers to address various CRA / Provincial tax audit inquiries* Keep informed of tax laws, regulations, and rulings pertaining to international, federal, provincial and local taxes* Analyze and prepare internal memos and reports on the tax effects of business transactions **What We Need From You:*** Must be able to pass all pre-employment requirements* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance* CPA designation or Masters in Taxation is preferred* 2 - 4 years experience working in a tax department of a public accounting firm or large corporation* Experience with large corporate or complex tax provision preferred* Completion or enrollment in the CPA In-Depth Tax Course is an asset* Team player with strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Strong computer skills in MS Office and TaxPrep tax software experience **What You’ll Get From Us:*** Competitive Wages* Retirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your future* Benefits; Medical, Dental, Vision* Perks, perks, perks Employee Assistance Program, Scholarship Opportunities for kids, Employee Stock Purchase Plan* Insurance: Life, Short Term/Long Term Disability *We thank all applicants for their interest but advise only those selected for an interview will be contacted.**Waste Connections of Canada is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
