Azure Cloud Platform Architect

Job Description We’re looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Platform Architect to help take our infrastructure global. You’ll play a key role in designing and delivering a multi-region Azure environment that ensures customers always connect to the closest fastest point of presence no matter where they are. This hands‑on technical role is focused on building a secure scalable and resilient cloud platform to support continued growth. Responsibilities Architect and build a multi-region Azure platform enabling users to seamlessly connect to the nearest environment with no disruption to their experience. Design and implement global traffic routing and load balancing strategies using Azure services such as Front Door and Traffic Manager. Ensure deployments across regions stay in sync delivering a consistent experience worldwide. Build for high availability geo‑redundancy and regional failover with security and compliance integrated from day one. Create automation for infrastructure provisioning and updates. Set up monitoring, cost optimization and security practices across all Azure regions. Work closely with development, security and operations teams to ensure the platform supports evolving product and business needs. Own and maintain architecture documents, roadmaps and operational runbooks. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience designing, implementing and managing cloud‑based infrastructure and services, preferably in a leadership role. Solid hands‑on experience designing and running Azure infrastructure at scale ideally across multiple regions. Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, security, governance and cost management. Experience setting up global services like Azure Front Door, Traffic Manager, Private Link and hybrid connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute). Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions). A security‑first mindset with expertise in designing secure, compliant, and reliable cloud environments. Ability to balance strategic architecture with hands‑on implementation. Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate are strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field. Experience with serverless computing technologies such as Azure AKS. Previous work with global SaaS deployments. Familiarity with FinOps practices for cloud cost management. Microsoft certifications: DevOps Engineer Expert, Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Compliance and Identity Fundamentals, Azure AI Fundamentals or Azure AI Engineer Associate.
