The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (typically annual volume, margin and compliance requirements). Responsible for medium‑size sales territories. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Responsible for developing commercial proposals, contract negotiation and managing commercial risk to secure profitable business for the Power Conversion business. Lead contract negotiations and customer meetings including the legal aspects of the contract (e.g., limitation of liability, insurance, indemnities, etc.) and bring the deal to closure/contract signature. Understand and can create project cash flows based on the project profile, exchange rate fluctuations (USD, CAD, EUR, BRL, etc.), and cost escalation models. Become proficient with use of financial, cost/pricing and technical tools associated with above responsibilities. Development of commercial proposals for low, medium and complex RFQ/RFI/RFP, working cross‑functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, Engineering and Sourcing aligning customers’ expectations against the company’s profitability and risk profiles. Ensure compliance with the commercial risk process for all transactions and lead the technical, profitability and commercial inputs during presentations at risk meetings. Communicates difficult concepts and may influence others’ opinions on particular topics by guiding others to consider a different point of view. Interfaces with other GE Vernova businesses and works globally to increase our penetration in the markets. Uses a high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems within projects, markets, sales processes, or customers. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders or customers. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of task to help arrive at a decision. Works with regional commercial and risk teams to identify opportunities for simplification and productivity. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years commercial experience. Minimum 2 years contract management / negotiation experience. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Commercial Management, Business and/or Contract Law. Desired Characteristics Direct experience with commercial offering on large complex systems in the Industrial segment. Strong track record of working with cross‑functional teams. Technical knowledge of electrical solutions, including automation, low & medium‑voltage motors, and variable speed drives. Prior technical sales and contract negotiation experience. Strong project time management skills. Customer‑focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs. Strong coordination and influencing skills. Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs. Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools (CRM, Excel, Word, etc.). Ability to multi‑task on a variety of projects to strict time scales. Strong oral and written communication skills.
