What’s on Your Horizon Faculty/School: School of Biological Sciences and Applied ChemistryProgram/ Course: Graduate Certificate- Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs & Quality Operations (RAQ)PRA800 - Regulatory Affairs IICampus: Seneca@York We welcome applications for part-time teaching opportunities. Course assignments are based on scheduling and instructional needs. Contract faculty typically teach up to 6 hours per week, with classes scheduled Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. While some courses may be offered online or in a hybrid format, availability for on-campus teaching is often preferred. To help us align your application with the right opportunity, please include your availability when applying. Responsibilities Ensure student awareness of course objectives, approach and evaluation techniques. Carry out regularly scheduled instruction, which may include tutoring and academic counselling of students. Provide a learning environment that makes effective use of available resources, work experience and field trips. Evaluate student progress/achievement and assuming responsibility for the overall assessment of the student's work within assigned courses. What you bring Minimum of a completed bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, life sciences or closely related discipline. Master’s or post graduate certificate preferred. Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in any of the following areas (or other closely related experience) Common Technical Document (CTD) preparation Clinical Trial Applications (CTA) Special Access Program (SAP) submissions Pre-Approval Inspections (PAI) and corrective action planning New Drug Submission (NDS), including Health Canada forms, Drug Master Files, and Chemistry and Manufacturing Control (CMC) sections Auditing practices Pharmaceutical quality assurance and quality management systems Skills Strong understanding of pharmaceutical quality assurance and quality management processes Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in training or teaching fundamentals of your area(s) of expertise. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with the Polytechnics’ diverse staff and student population is required, as is an understanding of and commitment to equity in education. Commitment to a team approach for problem solving and conflict resolution. Demonstrated research skills. Note A teaching demonstration may be required during the recruitment process.
