Could It Be You? Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Director, Operational Risk & Resilience will be primarily responsible for leading and enhancing the Operational Risk Management program at Community Trust Company, in compliance with OSFI regulatory requirements.In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, implement and manage the operational risk management programs including fraud risk management, business continuity management, IT and cyber risk management, third party risk management and overall operational risk management.Establish an operational risk appetite and implement a process to ensure the Company manages within it and has the ability to identify and manage any exceptionsManage and chair the Operational Risk Committee, and attend as a key member of other senior management committeesEnsure the design and operating effectiveness of each of the operational risk management programs is sufficient given the risk of the business, and ensure they meet and continue to comply with the expectations set out in respective OSFI GuidelinesSupport the CRO for all operational risk matters with the Board and CommitteesSupport the CRO for all operational risk matters with OSFIManage strong working relationships with business partners, including other control functionsProvide leadership, training, motivation, coaching and evaluation to the operational risk team and the broader company on operational risk mattersSo are YOU our next Director, Operational Risk & Resilience? You are if you…Have a University degree in a business related fieldHave 10+ years of operational risk management experience as part of the second line of defense in an OSFI regulated institution preferred.Have strong business acumen and knowledge of principles, techniques, current trends, best practices, regulations, policies, and programs related to risk managementHave 10+ years of people management experience is preferredHave a desire for high performance and ability to make an impactHave a solutions-oriented mindset, critical thinking and sound decision makingHave strong collaboration, influencing, conflict resolution and stakeholder relationship building and people and process management skillsHave proven ability to manage multiple deliverables with firm deadlinesHave excellent written communication skills – the ability to articulate key messages concisely and effectivelyHave experience writing policiesHave experience creating reports for senior managementHave proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Power BI, RPA advantageousBring a positive, can-do attitude to our organization, using creative solutions to solve problems.Are a strong team player who motivates others to achieve group success.Can establish and build on healthy working relationships with your team and peers.Use open communication and collaboration to solve problems and manage deliverables.Work well in a dynamic and fast paced environment with the ability to navigate through organizational change.Please note this role will be required to be in office 3 days a weekAt Questrade Financial Group of Companies, we are committed to fostering a diverse, inclusive and accessible work environment.
