Experienced Diesel Mechanic

Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited is seeking a ROAD MECHANIC (FLEET MAINTENANCE) 310T licensed truck and coach technician who will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on customer fleets at their respective yard facilities. This role requires a self-motivated technician who can manage their schedule, perform quality work in varying outdoor conditions, and maintain clear communication with supervisors and customers. The Road Mechanic ensures that all work is completed safely, accurately, and in alignment with customer service commitments.    Benefits for ROAD MECHANIC:  Competitive Pay  Group Health, Dental and Vision Coverage  Paid Vacation and Statutory Holidays  Group Retirement Savings Plan  Virtual Health Services   Employee Assistance Program  Company culture grounded in customer service and values its people       ROAD MECHANIC Responsibilities Include:  Fleet Maintenance & Repair  Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services at customer yard facilities.  Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on a variety of fleet equipment.  Complete quality inspections to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.  Support shop operations and complete in-shop repairs when needed.  Field Work & Environmental Conditions  Work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot summers and cold winters.  Safely operate company service vehicle and tools in all environments.  Scheduling & Self-Dispatch  Organize and prioritize daily workload according to customer maintenance schedules.  Self-dispatch to customer sites in a timely manner, ensuring efficiency and minimal downtime.  Communication & Customer Service  Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding work progress, scheduling, and customer needs.  Provide professional, courteous service to customers and address maintenance concerns promptly.  Collaborate with other road technicians and shop staff to ensure customer service requirements are consistently met.  Clerical & Administrative Duties  Accurately track and record billable hours, work completed, and service details.  Maintain parts and inventory records for service vehicle; restock as needed.  Ensure proper documentation of customer service schedules, completed work, and parts usage.  Clean work area as required and maintain equipment; Adhere to all environmental, health and safety standards    Successful ROAD MECHANIC Candidates Will Have:   One year of ROAD MECHANIC experience within the heavy-duty industry  Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs   Valid driver's license and/or CDL with good driving record  Crane Carrier (Canada) Limited offers a stimulating workplace based on open collaboration, personal development, and future opportunities.
