Duties and Responsibilities:

Completing field work by:
o  Oversight of the KBL Emergency Response program
o  Manage out of town facility related work (i.e.: Out of town pick ups/remote locations, arranging for transportation, and disposals)
o  Being actively involved in waste consolidation, yard organization and implementing waste receiving and shipping processes

Assist with managing existing projects by:
o  Customer Service, which includes customer inquiries, complaints, and execution of work for clients.
o  Oversee daily operations duties, including day to day planning with facility supervisor, including KBL’s health and safety program and inspections. Assist in any areas that are required.
o  Liaising with Regional Operations Manager to ensure operations are running as required.

Health & Safety
o  Responsible for enforcing compliance with all Health & Safety requirements to always ensure worker safety, both at the facility and offsite work sites;

Finding and bidding on new environmental project opportunities by:
o  Dealing with customers and vendors directly via phone, email, or in person

Assisting with business unit financials by:
o  Providing quotes to customers that meet desired company margins.
o  Monthly financial accountabilities including but not limited to reviewing Facility P&L, managing subcontractors’ costs and being accountable to facility profitability.

Qualifications:
o  Ideally three years minimum in the waste management industry
o  Experience in leading a team a definite asset; you will lead the Facility Waste Technicans and Lead Hand/Supervisors.
o   Strong understanding of operation principles and mechanical aptitude
o   Valid drivers license; class three would be an asset.
o   Computer skills – able to use MS Office (including Teams) data entry into Sage accounting.
o   Strong logistical understanding of the Yukon
o  Due to possible exposure immunizations are recommended.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
o   Requirement travel 20% of the time to other KBL locations under your supervision.
o  Able to lift up to 75 lbs. repeatedly.
o   Able to work outside in all weather conditions.
o   There can be exposure to dust, noise, mud, water, smoke, and bacteria.
o  There is a possibility of cuts, bruises, straining, disease and /or severe injury if safe work practices are not followed.
