*Position Title: Sales Representative (West Kootenays)
*Location: West Kootenays, BC**Starting Minimum: $50,000 Annually**Job Type: *Full Time Permanent
*Position Summary:
Reporting to the Sales Manager or designate, the Sales Representative will be responsible for managing the West Kootenay territory. The Sales representative will frequently travel through the territory, maintaining a close relationship with customers, as well as travel to Kelowna on a regular basis to participate in sales meetings.
*Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
Selling to the existing customer base, utilizing call sheets.
Ensuring timely collection of account balances from customers on a weekly basis, including distributing statements, processing credits, and ensuring adherence to invoice payment terms.
Expanding the existing customer base while adhering to company protocols for new account acquisitions.
Attend monthly sales meetings in Kelowna and the annual March conference.
Driving sales growth and margin improvement within the existing customer base.
Exploring opportunities to introduce new product lines.
Collaborating with customers to implement weekly advertising strategies aimed at business expansion.
Promoting protein specialties and Made at Centennial items.
Understanding market conditions, product innovations and sales; sharing relevant information with customers as part of value-added services.
Additional duties as assigned.
*Qualifications and Skills:
1 to 2 years progressive sales experience in a similar sized operation; a combination of post-secondary education and experience will also be considered.
1 to 3 years of related industry experience required.
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, colleagues, and staff.
Self-motivated and able to work in, and outside of an office setting.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability and willingness to frequently travel.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
