A bit about the job.
We are looking for a Sr. Media Planner to join our Media Planning team. This role offers the opportunity to grow your career and help define the way forward with our agency. Reporting to the Media Director, the Senior Media Planner will be responsible for owning the relationships with account teams, building and planning media strategies and plans, executing campaigns, negotiating with vendors, and presenting media results.
This role will involve pace-setting management, constant collaboration across multiple departments,
people management, and crucial client-facing moments.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and cultivate internal and external relationships through regular and clear communications
Produce and deliver presentations to clients and internal agency staff
Understand all media channels, traditional, digital, and emerging channels
Provide consultative media solutions and insights as required
Seek to find innovative ways to implement media to deliver the unexpected
Stay abreast of new media innovations and bring ideas on how best to put into practice
Initiate and manage partnerships with emerging media platforms and technology vendors to gain early access to innovative advertising solutions
Improve strategies for paid media clients that result in the client exceeding their goals.
Understand changes to the marketplace and industry, adjusting client Paid Media strategies accordingly
Oversee execution of media plans including channel optimizations
Conduct regular market analysis and competitive research to identify trends and opportunities for client campaigns
Implement comprehensive performance tracking and data analysis systems to continuously evaluate and enhance the ROI of media campaigns
Be an active participant in pitching new business and presenting to clients
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working in media across all channels (search, social, programmatic, video, etc.)
Experience as a digital strategist or media strategist
Digitally savvy: using digital and social media, demonstrating passion about emerging media, Google Analytics, ability to search and research topics, etc
Clear communicator with strategic insights and the ability to create buy-in across the organization
Strong communications skills both written and presenting
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking across various projects
Ability to work independently and transparently
Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is an asset
