DEPARTMENT:  Psychiatry and Pedopsychiatry (Intergrated Crisis Response Services in Emergency Department)
CLASSIFICATION: Social Worker 1 (SW01) - (Emergency Department) (2 positions)
STATUS:   1 permanent full-time position & 1 permanent part-time position
FTE : 1 x 1.0 & 1 x 0.6
ANTICIPATED DATE: As soon as possible
HOURS OF WORK:
8, 10 and/or 12 hours shifts - Rotation
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.
JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the manager of psychiatry for the zone, the successful candidate will provide full services to clients with various mental health issues. This person will work as part of a multidisciplinary team and perform the following duties in particular: assessment, crisis intervention, diagnosis, treatment, individual, family and group counselling, prevention, and health promotion and awareness.
REQUIREMENTS:

Member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers;
Experience in mental health or addictions would be an asset;
Training on the prevention and management of suicidal behavior or obtain it upon hiring;
CPI non-violent intervention techniques or obtain it within the set deadlines;
Good computer skills;
Clinical judgment and good analytical skills;
Leadership and good decision-making skills;
Proven communication and interpersonal skills;
Adaptability and flexibility;
Good organizational skills and ability to set priorities;
Willingness to travel within the zone;
Ability to work independently and as a team member;
Ability to form effective partnerships with the community network;
Ability to offer group sessions to clients;
Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network management philosophy, and organizational values;
Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Network .
Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
