You will acquire the knowledge, skills, and abilities to safely and efficiently control a liquid pipeline(s) or liquid terminal system(s) using SCADA software under direct supervisor of a qualified Control Centre Operator. You will also acquire the ability to recognize and respond to abnormal and emergency conditions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

What you will do:
Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot abnormal and emergency operating conditions, learn to take appropriate action in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Acquire working knowledge to implement all procedures related to the functional area of responsibility.
Complete all training program requirements (e.g., Operator Qualification, Best Operating Practices, Procedure Reviews, Simulation training, Emergency Response training).
Learn effective communication with respective internal and external partners to ensure the safe operation of the functional area of responsibility while abiding by the company established guidelines.
Understand product contamination and learn how to maintain product measurement and quality through effective communication and use of available tools.
Participate in company and departmental objectives and initiatives, continually striving towards personal development and operational improvement opportunities.
Who You Are:
Have a two-year technical diploma. Equivalent experience will be considered with good working knowledge of the industry.
Must be team oriented and function effectively in a shift work environment.
Excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to customer service, and a willingness to successfully operate in a team environment are critical.
Direct experience and knowledge of pipeline, terminal, or gas transmission operations with a solid understanding of fluid hydraulics would be an asset.
Preference will be given to candidates with shift work experience including having worked nights and rotation schedules.
You will undergo various background screenings that include but are not limited to a 5-year driving record, criminal checks and a company sponsored medical.
Working Conditions:
Control Center environment requires high attention to detail for prolonged periods of time. 12.25-hour shifts including a rotating schedule which averages approximately 40 hours per week for full-time employees.
