OverviewPosition: JR. CIVIL-WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERID No: 7-1468Location: SaskatoonResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work with our established water resources team in Saskatchewan under intermediate and senior engineers to complete design and project management duties.The position requires a broad range of skills, self-motivation, and problem solving.The work will involve engineering on all project phases for irrigation infrastructure, dam infrastructure, water control structures, pump stations, canals, pipelines, earthworks, and hydrology projects.In general, the successful candidate may be required to complete the following tasks:Perform general project engineering duties under the supervision of a Professional EngineerWork with the project team to prepare reports, design drawings, specifications, and contract documentsComplete preliminary engineering studies and assessments that may include:Hydrology modellingHydraulic modellingDam safetyPreliminary designCost estimatingComplete engineering design that may include:Pumping systemsPipelinesOpen channel systemsHydraulic structuresEarthworksConcreteSteelPerform construction administration, coordination, and construction supervision dutiesWork closely with our clients to ensure their project objectives are metQualificationsDegree in Civil Engineering from an accredited UniversityRegistered or eligible for registration with the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAptitude for general construction methods. Previous field-work experience is considered an assetExperience or knowledge with design software is considered an asset. Particularly with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, PCSWMM, and WaterCAD.
