Position Overview Garibaldi Glass Industries Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Development Representative to support our growth in the BC region. This role is ideal for someone passionate about building strong customer relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving sales growth in a specialized market segment. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 160+ customers, providing design assistance, and ensuring our product quality remains the highest in the industry. This position is well-suited to individuals who thrive on structured planning, data-informed decision-making, and long-term relationship management. Who We're Looking For We are seeking a personable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented individual who thrives in a team environment and is driven to achieve results. Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, the Business Development Representative will focus on servicing a specific category of customers. These customers purchase glass in smaller quantities for service work or smaller projects. They typically prefer working with a single supplier and value technical support and product quality over competitive pricing. Key Responsibilities Customer Portfolio Management Visit approximately 160+ customers on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis depending on business volume and growth potential. Focus on “Daily” customers, those purchasing smaller quantities for service work or small projects. These accounts typically prefer a single supplier and value consistency and quality. Sales Strategy and Execution Collaborate with Sales leadership to develop and execute a territory-specific annual sales strategy. Adjust plans quarterly based on performance metrics and customer feedback. Use HubSpot CRM to document all customer interactions and business details. Technical and Design Support Provide design assistance and technical guidance to customers, supported by an Inside Sales colleague. Ensure product quality meets or exceeds industry standards and customer expectations. Relationship Building and Communication Conduct client visits to identify opportunities, negotiate deals, and support revenue growth. Coordinate lunch-and-learn sessions and deliver product training to customers and industry professionals. Share market intelligence, competitor activity, and customer feedback during team meetings. Qualifications (Education, Experience, Training) Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. 2 to 3 years of full-cycle B2B sales experience including acquisition, retention, upselling, negotiating, and closing. Experience in strategic planning and managing measurable outcomes. Technical aptitude to understand and advise on product specifications. Skill and Abilities Strong analytical and planning skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Comfortable using data to inform decisions and track performance. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. CRM experience, preferably with HubSpot. Critical Success Factors Ability to exceed sales targets through structured planning and execution. Build trust-based relationships with customers who value consistency and technical expertise. Contribute to marketing initiatives and measure success through competitive analysis. Maintain a high standard of documentation and reporting. Working Conditions Office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing environments and client job sites. Exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions, including weather and construction environments. Travel Travel within the BC Lower Mainland, with potential to travel into the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. Compensation Competitive base salary ranging from $70,000 to $90,000 annually. Comprehensive benefits package. Training and development opportunities provided. Additional Information Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Garibaldi Glass Industries Inc. is committed to employment equity and encourages applications from all qualified individuals, including women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, and members of visible minorities.
