Job Description AECOM Buildings + Places sector is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist for immediate employment in our Edmonton / Calgary, AB office. The role supports integrated projects spanning architecture, engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, economics and asset management. Projects may include transit, municipal, commercial, institutional, justice, education and government initiatives. Major Responsibilities Conduct structural drafting / 3D BIM for concrete, steel, and wood buildings Prepare finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and details Support package preparation and submission Monitor and document conformance with quality, performance, safety, and code requirements Maintain general understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve results and deadlines Work in engineering project collaboration software platforms (ProjectWise, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud) Self-check drawings for quality assurance Coordinate with colleagues across disciplines and offices in a team-based environment Perform responsibilities under limited supervision Qualifications Minimum Requirements: College diploma in Engineering Technology + 2 (two) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Proficient in 3D Revit/BIM drafting Preferred Qualifications: EIT, C. Tech or CET designation, or working towards certification Able to develop and advance drawings from conceptual to detailed design stageGood written and oral communication skills Familiar with software such as AutoCAD 2015 or later, Autodesk Revit Family/BIM Software, and MicroStation V.8 or later Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation is not available for this position. Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000.
